Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Sara Holland on joining the WNCN (CBS) news team in Raleigh, NC (market #22) as a sports anchor/reporter. Sara has strong ties to the Tar Heel state having spent childhood summers on the water in the Outer Banks-her favorite place on earth! Sara’s mom graduated from the University of North Carolina.
Prior to making the move to Raleigh, Sara spent the previous two years working as a sports anchor/reporter for WIVB, the Nexstar owned CBS affiliate in Buffalo, NY. While at WIVB, Sara was the station’s main Buffalo Sabres beat reporter. Sara loves the NHL and she is looking forward to covering the Carolina Hurricanes. Over the past two years, Sara also enjoyed covering the Buffalo Bills and the tremendous colleges in Western New York. Sara also helped launch a weekly 30 minute sports show on WIVB News 4 Sports+.
A proud University at Buffalo graduate, Sara was a softball recruit and played two seasons for the Bulls. While in college, Sara gained valuable experience interning with Syracuse.com and WUTV/WNYO. Sara provided sideline coverage of high school football games and she also produced the Shout! (football podcast on the Buffalo Bills). When Sara isn’t telling sports stories, she enjoys spoiling her black lab mix “Banks”. #TeamCBK
