For more than two decades, CJ Kane worked as an award-winning television journalist. CJ spent seventeen of those years as a Sports Anchor/Director in Findlay (OH), Dayton (OH) and Augusta (GA). After anchoring thousands of sportscasts, CJ made the smooth transition to morning news anchor. He also gained valuable major network experience working for two years as a producer at Golf Channel.

Over the course of his twenty-three year broadcasting career, CJ covered seventeen Masters Tournaments, U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Super Bowl, World Series, 1996 Summer Olympics and Indianapolis 500. During this time, CJ spent countless hours reviewing and critiquing resume reels. Many of his colleagues recognized CJ’s ability to spot talent and they started asking him for advice on how to put resume reels together.

CJ’s extensive background as a successful news anchor, sports anchor and major network field producer has enabled him to provide invaluable career coaching for his clients. Not only is CJ negotiating the best deals, but he’s also continuing to help his clients improve on the desk and in the field. CJ has been in their shoes and knows exactly what his clients go through on a day to day basis.

Brian Kane

Brian S. Kane has almost 30 years of experience as a practicing attorney in Pennsylvania and West Virginia where he focuses on commercial litigation, including contract preparation and negotiation. Brian reviews all negotiated contracts with our clients to address any questions or concerns. He also advises on a variety of industry and employment issues for CBK Media Management clients.

Brian is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law, where he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. He attended the University of Kansas for his undergraduate studies and is a diehard KU basketball fan. Go Jayhawks!

Brian resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his beautiful wife, Sally and their two children, Joshua and Emily.

He has an innate and enthusiastic ability to partner and make people around him better and Jed has always had an eye to spot great talent regardless of the market size.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em) with a broadcast journalism degree, Jed spent seven years in front and behind the camera covering news and sports in small, medium and large markets. In his broadcasting career, he aired stories involving breaking news, human interest profiles, hurricanes and other severe weather, The Olympics, The Masters, The Stanley Cup Finals, and other prominent professional and college sports and teams.  In 2000, Jed transitioned his career into talent scouting and became an industry insider spending eight years at the premier placement and coaching resource Talent Dynamics.

In addition to his infectious passion for Journalism and over the last decade, Jed has increased his visibility across different industries in corporate America including Commercial Real Estate, Automotive Retail and HVAC/Refrigeration as a resourceful and conscientious talent management and multi-platform communications leader.

With impeccable connections across the country, Jed has a genuine and hard-working ability to network, build and coach teams with strong interpersonal and written skills, the drive to sell and manage multiple projects at any given time and add measurable value while achieving business objectives through relationship building, persuasion and confidentiality.

Max Perilstein knows a talented broadcaster when he sees one. Managing partner of his own full service consulting firm, Max travels more than 200 days per year and watches newscasts across the country. Max’s keen eye has helped CBK Media Management sign clients in small markets and move them to TOP 20 markets.

When scouting broadcasters, Max is looking for one thing: POTENTIAL. He knows CBK Media Management wants to align itself with on-air talent driven to sustain a long, rewarding career in broadcasting. Prior to managing his own consulting firm, Max was a successful television sports producer in TOP 35 markets like Pittsburgh and Columbus.

Max is a proud graduate of Ohio University and resides in Michigan with his beautiful wife, Beth and their two children, Zach and Natalie.



Megan Mullen

Megan Mullen works with CBK Media Management clients on wardrobe, makeup and personal brand image. Through Megan’s image strategies, clients continue to build self-confidence which fuels more success in the highly competitive broadcasting industry.

Megan brings 20 years of on-air experience to the CBK Media Management team. She is the wife of University of Florida Head Football Coach Dan Mullen. Before returning to Gainesville as Head Coach in November 2018, Coach Mullen led Mississippi State to its first #1 ranking in college football back in 2014. Prior to moving to Starkville, the former Megan West was a network anchor for Golf Channel’s nightly Golf Central news program. While at Golf Channel, Megan also hosted College Central and reported live from numerous golf tournaments, including the U.S. Open and PGA Championship. She was also assigned to live host celebrity events, pro-ams and Champions Tour events. During Megan’s time at Golf Channel, her husband was busy winning two National Championships at Florida working as Urban Meyer’s Offensive Coordinator.

Away from the links, Megan’s broadcasting resume includes on-air talent for the Big Ten Network. She also worked as a Sports Anchor/Reporter in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her broadcasting career also included stints in Ohio and Maryland. A proud graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, Megan worked behind the scenes earlier in her career at CNNSports Illustrated and FOX Sports Pittsburgh.

Megan speaks at numerous events each year as a motivational speaker.  Known to the Florida Gators football players as “Mamma Mullen”, Megan was also featured on the Wives of the SEC reality show on ESPN and the SEC Network. Megan is most proud to be the wife of Dan Mullen, the 2015 Maxwell National Coach of the Year and AP SEC Coach of the Year, and mom of their two precious children, son Canon and daughter Breelyn.
