Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Elizabeth Worthington on joining WPVI Action News (ABC) in Philadelphia (Market #5) as a Freelance News Reporter. The move to WPVI is a homecoming for Elizabeth as she is a Philadelphia native.

Elizabeth spent the previous two years working as a News Reporter/Anchor at WMAR (ABC) in Baltimore, MD. While at WMAR, Elizabeth was the station’s lead reporter on the Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse (March 2024). She was nominated for an EMMY Award pertaining to her great work in covering the bridge collapse. In April 2025, Elizabeth produced and hosted/reported a 30-minute special on the one-year anniversary of the bridge collapse. Elizabeth also took initiative to host and produce another long-format special the “Hae Min Lee Files”. The 30 minute special dives deep into the disappearance and murder of a Baltimore teenager in 1999.

Before making the move to Baltimore, Elizabeth worked as a News Reporter/Anchor at WNEP (ABC) in Scranton, PA. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Elizabeth graduated from Bucknell University. Even though Bucknell did not offer journalism courses, Elizabeth’s passion for journalism grew when she interned at Philadelphia Magazine. In 2024, Elizabeth’s alma mater named her as one of its 30 under 30 industry standouts. Elizabeth’s journey into television news began as a Weekday News Anchor/Reporter at WETM (NBC) in Elmira, NY. When Elizabeth isn’t reporting the news, she enjoys spending time with her family at the jersey shore and rooting on her favorite Philadelphia sports teams. #TeamCBK
