Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Forrest Tucker on making the jump to a top-25 market. Forrest joins the WBTV (CBS) news team in Charlotte, NC (market #21) as a news reporter.
Forrest has nearly five years of experience as a news-sports reporter/anchor. He spent the previous two years working as a sports anchor/reporter at WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, KY.
While in Lexington, Forrest covered University of Kentucky athletics including the storied men’s basketball program during two of the most pivotal years for the team in recent history.
He reported from international sporting events such as the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and multiple PGA Tour events.
Forrest also gained extensive experience up the road in Cincinnati, covering all three professional sports teams (Bengals, Reds and FC Cincinnati) including the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
From 2021-2023, Forrest worked as a news reporter/anchor at WCBD, the NBC affiliate in Charleston, SC. In Charleston, he covered everything from historic weather events, key general elections and high-profile criminal trials.
Forrest is a native of Annapolis, MD, but he has strong ties to the Southeast. Forrest’s family moved to the Lowcountry over a year ago and he’s a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. A die-hard soccer fan, Forrest hosts his own soccer podcast, Cleared off the Line. The entertaining podcast focuses on interviews and opinions on American soccer. In his free time, Forrest loves to play pickup soccer, cook, listen to music and spend time with family. #TeamCBK
