Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Megan Scarano on making a top-30 market move and joining the NewsChanel 5 (CBS-WTVF) team in Nashville, TN (Market #26) as a weekday morning news reporter.

Megan is no stranger to the Southeast as she spent the previous three years working as the weekend evening news anchor/reporter at WBMA (ABC) in Birmingham, AL. While in Birmingham, Megan covered a number of big stories including Hurricane Helene, the Hush massacre mass shooting and the state intervention of Bessemer City Schools. Megan‘s work on the state intervention story won her a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Continuous coverage. Megan also captured a 2025 Southeast Chapter Emmy Award for her role as an anchor covering the 2024 Birmingham Mass Shooting.

Before making the move to Birmingham, Megan’s television news career began in New Bern, NC as a weekend news anchor/multi-media journalist at WCTI (ABC). A West Virginia native, Megan is a proud West Virginia University graduate. She earned degrees in Journalism and Dance.

When Megan isn’t breaking news stories, she loves to spend her free time running and hanging with her cat Olive, and dog, Rogue.
