Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Drew Aunkst on making a top-30 market jump and joining the CBS Baltimore team as a news reporter.
Before heading to Baltimore, Drew previously worked at WFXR (FOX) in Roanoke, VA as a news anchor/reporter. While at the FOX affiliate, Drew helped to uncover a number of big stories, including a new drug stronger than fentanyl being sold in Virginia. He also created a weekly health franchise “Wellness Wednesday”. It was a popular segment that drove strong viewer engagement across all broadcast and digital platforms. Prior to WFXR, Drew worked at WIS (NBC) in Columbia, SC as a news anchor/reporter. Drew earned an Emmy nomination for his excellent reporting on the Faye Swetlik kidnapping and murder case. Drew’s professional career in broadcast news began at WDTV in Bridgeport, WV as a morning anchor/producer.
A Pittsburgh native, Drew is a proud graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Business. #TeamCBK
