Congratulations to client Lindsey Burrell on joining the Gulf Coast News Team (WBBH-NBC/WZVN-ABC) in Fort Myers, FL as a Weekday Evening News Anchor/Reporter. Lindsey spent the previous three years as an anchor/reporter at WHO (NBC) in Des Moines, IA. While at WHO, Lindsey covered a number of big stories, including the Iowa Caucuses and the Iowa Corn 350 NASCAR race.  Lindsey’s reporting on big stories was featured on Nexstar’s national cable news channel NewsNation. Lindsey also produced the station’s “Remarkable Women” Special. Lindsey got her start in television news in Rapid City, SD. While at KOTA (FOX), Lindsey anchored and reported for the weekday evening news.

A South Carolina native, Lindsey is a proud graduate of Winthrop University. While at Winthrop, Lindsey gained valuable experience as a news intern at CN2 News in Rock Hill, SC. In 2023, Lindsey earned a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Innovation from Texas Tech University. In 2021, Lindsey finished as first runner-up in Miss South Carolina. Lindsey has a tremendous passion for community service. She is an avid volunteer with NothingPink, a non-profit organization that helps women know their risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer in the Charlotte/Fort Mill/Rock Hill area. While working in Des Moines, Lindsey also served on the Bras For The Cause Board.

When Lindsey isn’t on the anchor desk, you’ll most likely find her on the beach spending time with her pet chihuahua “Pearl”, who has quickly become a viewer favorite. #TeamCBK
