Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Robyn King on being awarded with the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation. According to the AMS website, the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) program was established to raise the professional standard in broadcast meteorology and encourage a broader range of scientific understanding, especially with respect to environmental issues. Among radio and television meteorologists, the CBM designation is sought as a mark of professional distinction and recognition.
In June, Robyn made a 114 market jump to become the Weekday Morning Meteorologist/Traffic Anchor at KWTV, the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City, OK. Prior to making the move to the Oklahoma City, Robyn was the popular Weekday Morning Meteorologist at WTWO, the NBC affiliate in Terre Haute, IN.
A Cincinnati native, Robyn graduated from the University of South Alabama and she received the prestigious Doctor Bill Williams Endowment Scholarship in 2013. While in school, completed two valuable weather internships at WKRC (CBS-Cincinnati, OH) and WKRG (CBS-Mobile, AL). #TeamCBK
