Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Ashley Knight on joining WAVY (NBC) in Norfolk, VA as Weekend Evening News Anchor/Reporter. Knight previously worked at WPMI (NBC) in Mobile, AL.
Prior to making the move to Mobile, Ashley worked as a reporter at WBRC in Birmingham (AL) and a news anchor/reporter at WKRG in Mobile, and WFXL in Albany, GA. While working at WKRG, Ashley’s reporting on the Carnival Triumph disaster helped the station win an Edward R. Murrow award. Ashley has reported on a number of big national stories, including the Black Hawk Helicopter crash near Elgin Air Force Base that killed seven marines and four soldiers during a training exercise. While working in Mobile, Ashley also got to report and anchor during Mardi Gras, which is one of her favorite events.
A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Ashley began her career as an intern at the FOX affiliate in Orlando, FL. Ashley loves the south and has many Southern generations stretching back to before the Revolutionary War. #TeamCBK
