Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Mike Rush on being promoted to co-anchor the expanded KXAN mid-day show (11 AM-1 PM) with Jennifer Sanders. Mike joined the KXAN news team in June 2022 as Weekend Evening Anchor/Consumer-Investigative Reporter. In his new position, Mike will continue to do investigative reporting weekdays as well.
Mike knows the Austin market extremely well as he previously spent four years as a News Anchor/Reporter at KVUE (ABC). Prior to making the move to Austin, Mike worked as an Anchor/Reporter at stations in St. Louis (MO), Mobile (AL), New Orleans (LA) and Lake Charles (LA). An award-winning journalist, Mike has won nine EMMY awards throughout his television news broadcasting career.
A Houston (TX) native, Mike graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. #TeamCBK
