Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Joanna Bouras on joining Boston 25 (FOX-market #8) as a News Reporter. This move is a homecoming for Joanna who was born and raised in Boston, MA.

Before heading to Boston, Bouras previously worked as a News Reporter/Anchor at WJAR (NBC) in Providence, RI. While at WJAR, Joanna covered a number of big stories, including the Lewiston, Maine massacre. In 2023, Joanna received a Boston/New England Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Breaking News Reporter. Joanna’s reporting also helped WJAR earn 2023 nominations for Outstanding 6 PM and 11 PM Newscasts.

Prior to moving to Providence, Joanna worked at the FOX affiliate in Cincinnati, OH as a News Reporter/Anchor. While at WXIX, Joanna won a 2021 Kentucky Associated Press First Place Award for continuing coverage. Before heading north to Ohio, Joanna spent the previous two years at WBBH (NBC/ABC) in Fort Myers, FL. While at WBBH, Joanna covered Southwest Florida’s toxic algae crisis and the shooting of Ft. Myers Police Officer Adam Jobbers-Miller. In early 2020, Joanna’s story on a Florida daycare worker getting fired for writing on a 1-year-old boy’s stomach in permanent marker went national.

Before moving to Florida, Joanna worked at KOLN (CBS) in Lincoln, NE as a News Reporter/MMJ/Fill-In Anchor. While at KOLN, Joanna earned two Heartland Emmy Awards. Joanna was a reporter for both KOLN (CBS) newscasts that won Heartland EMMY NATAS Awards for Best Evening Newscast and Best Morning Newscast.

Joanna earned her Journalism Degree from Wheaton College. She then attended New York University and got her masters in Multimedia Journalism with a focus in Broadcast News. While in school, Joanna worked with Entertainment Reporter Maria Menounos in Los Angeles. She also was employed by CBS Newspath in New York City. #TeamCBK
