Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Alex Livingston on becoming a National Network Host. Alex joins Scripps-owned Newsy as the new Host of Morning Rush (Monday-Friday/7 AM-11 AM eastern). Newsy is a 24-hour live national news channel available on the leading cable providers including Comcast, Verizon Fios, Spectrum, DISH, DirecTV and more. In addition, Newsy can be found on top streaming devices and services such as Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
Prior to making the move to Chicago, Alex worked the previous two years as Weekend News Anchor and First Coast Living Lifestyle Show Host/Reporter for WTLV, the NBC affiliate in Jacksonville, FL. In August 2020, Alex co-produced and co-hosted a very successful original program called Voice 2 Vote. The special focused on answering common voting questions that would encourage people to hit the polls and vote. While in Jacksonville, Alex also got the opportunity to cover severe weather events, including Hurricane Dorian in 2019.
Before she joined WTLV, Alex was the Weekend News Anchor/Reporter at KTVB in Boise, ID. In 2017, Alex’s reporting contributions in covering the Weiser flooding story helped KTVB win a NATAS Northwest Emmy Award for Best Evening Newscast. In 2016, Alex was honored by the Idaho Press Club with a First Place Award in the General News Report category.
Alex’s professional broadcasting career began as a News Anchor/Reporter at WOAY (ABC) in Oak Hill, WV. Alex is a proud graduate of Saint Peter’s University. An outstanding athlete, Alex played Division I tennis for the Peacocks. She graduated early from Saint Peter’s with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and also minored in Marketing Management.
Born in Idaho, but raised in New Jersey, Alex grew up a huge sports fan. She comes from a tremendous sports family. Her father and two brothers all played college basketball.
