Congratulations to CBK Media Management client LaMonica Peters on making the move to a top-10 market. LaMonica is joining KTVU (FOX) in San Francisco, CA (market #6) as a News Reporter. Prior to San Francisco, LaMonica was a News Reporter at KFMB (CBS) in San Diego, CA. LaMonica previously worked as a reporter at KOMO (ABC) and KCPQ (FOX) in Seattle, WA. Before heading to Seattle, LaMonica worked as a News Reporter/Anchor at Spectrum News in Buffalo, NY; WCBI (CBS) in Columbus, MS and WXVT (CBS) in Greenville, MS. LaMonica’s work has been recognized by the Mississippi Associated Press and New York Associated Press.
LaMonica is a proud UCLA graduate and she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. She also has a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. LaMonica was also selected as a Knight Digital Media Fellow at UC Berkeley in 2010. LaMonica’s extensive background in broadcasting has helped her become a successful teacher. Peters is an Assistant Professor at Palomar College (San Diego, CA) where she teaches a Broadcast & Media writing course. She has also taught broadcasting classes at Mississippi State University and Mississippi Valley State University. #TeamCBK
