Congratulations to CBK Media Management Client Lauren Crawford on jumping to a top-5 market and joining CBS News Texas in Dallas-Fort Worth as a Weekday Morning News Reporter. Previously, Lauren worked at WGHP (FOX) in Greensboro/High Point/Winston Salem, NC. While working at WGHP, Lauren was a Weekday Morning News Reporter/Anchor. In the last two years, Lauren has covered a number of big stories ranging from hurricanes and wildfires to crime and politics.

Prior to making the move to Greensboro, Lauren got her first job in television news as a reporter at WBTW (CBS) in Myrtle Beach, SC. One of Lauren’s biggest assignments at WBTW was covering Hurricane Dorian shortly after she started. Other major events that Lauren reported on include the Winston Fertilizer fire, the Pilot Mountain wildfire, the COVID-19 pandemic, protests, and the 2020 elections.

Returning to Dallas-Fort Worth and CBS News Texas is a homecoming for Lauren. She was born and raised in Fort Worth and is a former CBS News Texas intern. Lauren is a proud graduate of Texas Christian University and she is a third-generation TCU Horned Frog. While at TCU, Lauren worked closely with former Head Football Coach Gary Patterson and interviewed recruits during summer football camp. Lauren is looking forward to being back in Dallas-Fort Worth and attending more TCU games in person at Amon G. Carter Stadium in the fall.

When Lauren isn’t working, she enjoys traveling (especially visiting Charleston, SC), spending time outdoors near a beach and checking out a new Tex-Mex restaurant. Lauren loves getting active in her community and giving back. She grew up a member of a local chapter of the National Charity League, a nonprofit organization that builds leadership skills through volunteer work for charities. One of Lauren’s favorite quotes is, “Your greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give.” #TeamCBK
