Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Lauren Minor on joining WLEX (NBC) in Lexington, KY as Weekday Evening News Co-Anchor. In her new position at WLEX, Lauren will co-anchor the 4 PM and 5:30 PM newscasts (Monday-Friday). Prior to making the move to Lexington, Lauren spent the previous five years working as the very popular Weekday Morning News Anchor/Reporter/Traffic Anchor at WXIX (FOX) in Cincinnati, OH. In 2022, Lauren won an Ohio Valley National Emmy Award for her compelling breaking news reporting of four tornadoes in Western Kentucky that killed more than 50 people. While at WXIX, Lauren also co-produced and co-hosted one of the station’s most successful podcasts “Mic’d Up Moms”. The podcast focused on navigating parenthood, friendship, and Mom lessons while growing up with kids and working a full-time job.
Before Lauren made the move to her hometown of Cincinnati in 2019, she worked at WKYT (CBS) in Lexington, KY as a News Anchor/Reporter. Lauren got her start in broadcasting working at WTWO, the NBC affiliate in Terre Haute, IN. Lauren wore just about every hat in the newsroom working as a News Reporter/MMJ/Lifestyle Show Host. Lauren attended college at the University of Kentucky before receiving her Bachelor of Arts Communications degree from Northern Kentucky University. #TeamCBK
