
Congratulations to CBK Media Management client Marella Porter on her promotion to Co-Anchor of “Local 12 The Breakdown” at WKRC (CBS) in Cincinnati.
Launching this September 2026, the new hour-long weekday show at 3 PM will cover the day’s top stories and dive into key issues affecting Greater Cincinnati. Marella will co-anchor “Local 12 The Breakdown” with Adam Clements. Marella has been with WKRC since 2021, serving as the Weekend Evening News Anchor/Reporter. During her time in Cincinnati, she earned a 2023 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award for her reporting and has built a strong following as one of the market’s most trusted journalists.
Prior to joining WKRC, Marella jumped 140 markets to become a News Reporter/Anchor at WALA (FOX) in Mobile, AL (Market #58). Her notable coverage there included the historic final journey of late U.S. Representative and civil rights icon John Lewis across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma and his casket’s arrival in Montgomery. Marella began her television news career as the Weekend News Anchor/Reporter at KCWY (NBC) in Casper, WY, where she covered the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse in the path of totality.
A Florida native, Marella graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications. During her studies, she interned at WTVT (FOX) in Tampa and worked as a radio promotions assistant for Cox Media Group. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys spending time at local parks with her beagle pit, Jaina.
